Request information from April 2027
From 1 April 2027, CESSA HA tenants or their designated representatives can make written requests for relevant information about the management of the Association's social housing.
Not yet in force
There is no STAIRS individual-information request form on this prototype. The right begins on 1 April 2027. The publication scheme and Chapter 1 review arrangements apply now.
How it will work

Write to us
A written request is enough. You will not have to use a special form or mention STAIRS.

We consider the request
We acknowledge it promptly, help clarify it where needed, and assess which records can be disclosed.

Receive our response
As soon as possible and no later than 30 calendar days, except for permitted exceptional extensions.
Examples of relevant information
- Repairs, property condition and safety
- Communal areas and estate management
- Rents, services and customer service
- Stock management, transfers and environmental measures
Whether a particular item can be disclosed will depend on the statutory rules.
If information is withheld
We will explain refusal or redaction where required. Tenants will have a right to an internal STAIRS review and may then approach the Housing Ombudsman.
Separate statutory routes, such as data subject access rights, will continue to apply independently.
